We make the process of finding a job easier

In today's world, many people are relieved simply to be employed. StaffBuffalo seeks to make you happy with your employment. Through close personalized service, we learn exactly where you are in order to place you exactly where you want to be. Whether you are a recent college graduate entering the job market for the first time or an experienced employee looking for your next challenge (and everyone in between!), we will help you determine where you want to be.

We understand that candidates eventually become clients. That is why we treat our candidates like teammates or ambassadors of StaffBuffalo. We excel at delivering the best job opportunities to like-minded career-oriented professionals.

We also provide career guidance and act as matchmakers for job seekers and employers in the Buffalo area. Our expertise in the local job market allows us to provide advice on salaries, job titles, resumes, interviewing techniques, and more. We are committed to helping job seekers in any way we can, even if we are not handling a specific job opportunity. We can provide information on companies and advice to ensure you have the best chance of success.

  • Have you ever wondered what a Recruiter does and how they can help you? Over the years, we have heard horror stories and common misconceptions from candidates when working with Recruiters, so we want to set the record straight and let you know what to expect when working with a StaffBuffalo Recruiter!

A few key points before we get started:

    • Everything is 100% confidential, no exceptions.

    • There is absolutely no fee to you! Our clients pay us to find the best match.

    • We cannot magically find you a job, as we only work on positions that are requested by our clients.

    • We will never make promises about your job search that we cannot keep.

There are a lot of factors to find the perfect match: salary, industry, culture, title, etc., so be open and honest with your Recruiter about where you currently stand, your motives for looking for a new job, and what your expectations are.

After we have an initial conversation, we will work with you to make sure you are prepared for the interview process. We will provide you with all the information you need to know about the company, the role, and the interview process. At the end of the day, we are here to help you get the job you want and deserve. We are here to be your advocate, so don't be afraid to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.

It is impractical for us to reach out to everyone who applies to our jobs, due to the sheer volume of applications. If your background is a good fit for a position that we are working on (not only the one you applied to), we will definitely reach out to you directly!

You do not have to work exclusively with one Recruiter:

We prefer you to only work with StaffBuffalo and believe after working with us, you will not want to go anywhere else. However, we will not be offended if you chat with different Recruiters. We specialize in different areas and work on a lot of positions that other Recruiters don’t, which is why it is important to come to us!

    We are not stalkers:

At our company, we strive to maintain a professional relationship with all of our contacts. We understand the importance of communication and respect the wishes of those we reach out to. If you do not want to receive emails from us, let us know! If you want to only receive emails about certain types of jobs, set up a quick phone call with the Recruiter so that they know what to contact you about! We are happy to accommodate your preferences.

  • It is important to understand that during the recruitment process we will ask a variety of questions about your career history, job search, and what you are looking for in your next role. Please note that these questions are asked of all candidates and are necessary for us to find you the best job match. A key question we ask is about salary to ensure that we present you with positions that are within your desired salary range. This helps to ensure that we are not wasting your time, our client's time, or our own time. Therefore, it is important to be open and honest with us to ensure that we can find you the best fit more efficiently!

    Search and Guidance:

At every step of your search, we are here to assist. We are here to guide you, answer questions, give you the information that we have, and find out additional information for you. We will never send your information to any of our clients until you have given us your express permission. We strive to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the position, including the Company name (if it is not a confidential search), Company location, the reason for the opening, the number of direct reports, work hours, and Company culture. We want to make sure that there are no surprises, so please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have.

We walk you through the entire process:

You are not alone! We arrange the interviews and provide you with the necessary information, such as who you will be meeting with, parking instructions, and forms to bring. Additionally, we provide interview tips and feedback directly from the employer. We also handle salary negotiations for you, taking the stress off of you in requesting more compensation or other special requests. Having a guide to help you along the way can give you the edge you need to succeed!

Do not cut us out of the process:

We strongly encourage you to work with us to find the best job opportunities. We are committed to providing you with detailed information about the jobs and clients we are working with, so that you can decide whether to pursue an interview. We are very open with you and trust that you will be open with us - we ask that you do not apply directly to the companies. By having us submit your resume directly to the HR and Hiring Managers, you will have the best chance of getting the job since your resume will be reviewed by the decision-makers. If you apply on your own, we can no longer help you, and you will never know if your resume made it to the decision-makers. Best advice: have your Recruiter apply on your behalf to give yourself the best chance to get the job!

  • Be honest: It is important that you are upfront throughout the entire process. From the initial interview to the job acceptance, it is essential to be honest about your salary, reasons for job changes, resume dates, and other critical information.

Communicate: We ask that you respond to our calls and emails in a timely manner; ignoring them is not professional. We do not want to chase you down after an interview. If you’re interested, great! If not, no big deal, but let us know! We want you to make the choice that is best for you, and we will still work with you as your search progresses, even if one position isn’t the right fit.

Be patient: We understand finding a new job is important and we want to help! We will reach out to you, as positions become available that could be a good fit, based on the criteria that you give us. Feel free to check in from time to time, and always update us if your search criteria have changed! Just do not check in excessively, we have lots of people that we are working with!
