Mentor who move the city
Congratulations to StaffBuffalo Partner Lauren Lewis for being named a Big Brothers Big Sisters Defenders of Potential Honoree!
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) aims to make meaningful, monitored matches between volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in Erie, Niagara and the Southern Tier. These quality relationships are built on friendship and trust, and are proven to be a significant positive influence in the life of the child, and the volunteer. Big Brothers Big Sisters operates under the belief that in every child is incredible potential, so each year, the organization honors Mentors Who Move the City: men and women making a difference in WNY and defending that innate potential.
Lauren works to help others reach their true and full potential through coaching people to find meaningful jobs, helping to build up companies through identifying exceptional employees, and through dedicated volunteer mentor work. She is actively involved with Buffalo Prep, Child & Family Services, the local colleges, Buffalo Public Schools, and her Alma Mater, Nardin Academy. Through these organizations, Lauren works with students of all ages, providing Career Coaching, Mock Interviews, Resume and Networking Workshops, and Education and Career Presentations. Lauren also implemented Resume, Interview, and Networking Workshops to mentor all ages through her company, StaffBuffalo.
