About Me:

First and foremost, Carolyn is a problem solver and loves a good puzzle. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Communication from Houghton University. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Carolyn partners with clients to enhance the candidate experience. Her goal is to make them attractive to potential applicants, and to do it swiftly and effectively. To achieve this, she investigates the reasons behind why a company is not attracting top talent. She performs an audit of the website and social media, examines the application process, and talks to current staff to learn about internal procedures. 

Next, she evaluates which job boards are the most suited for the positions, then enhances job descriptions and interviews candidates. She presents only the most suitable candidates who fit our client's company culture. She believes in showing that these new processes work, not just giving suggestions and leaving, but proving that focusing on the candidate experience always yields better results. Carolyn is thrilled to be working with the amazing team at StaffBuffalo, helping clients find their dream teams!

Beyond the office:

Outside of the office, Carolyn enjoys cooking, drawing, attempting/failing at pilates, and roaming art museums. She has currently been to 16 countries and is always planning for her next trip, either close to home or far away. She donates her services and skills to several non-profit boards and takes classes online in her free time. All book and destination recommendations welcome!!
