Administrative Assistant | StaffBuffalo LLC
As a Buffalo native, Lisa is passionate about the creative arts and the positive impact they have on the community and society. Lisa attended the University at Buffalo and received her Bachelor’s in English and Linguistics. After graduating, Lisa spent a year in Riga, Latvia teaching English with the Fulbright Program.
While at UB, Lisa worked as an Editorial Assistant for the School of Architecture and Planning, writing articles for the school’s website and magazine and managing Social Media. She was awarded the Western New York Prosperity Fellowship, which supports UB and Canisius College students who are committed to contributing to the region’s economic vitality.
Lisa is thrilled to bring together her background in administration and organizational experience to StaffBuffalo. She is eager to continue to expand her skillset and knowledge, while continuing to improve the Buffalo community, through following StaffBuffalo’s mission to help businesses and job seekers find the right career fit for their needs.
In addition to working at StaffBuffalo, Lisa teaches cello at Buffalo String Works, a creative, grassroots program serving refugee students in Buffalo, inspired by the international El Sistema model which cultivates students to be agents of social change. She also volunteers with the Jericho Road ESL Initiative, teaching an in-home, small-group English class. In the past, Lisa has worked for other Buffalo nonprofits, including the Just Buffalo Literary Center.
What Spare Time?
For this extremely busy professional, in her sparse spare time, Lisa loves to be outside enjoying nature and getting lost in an engrossing novel. She is also a cellist in the Bell Canto Quartet, which performs locally in weddings, coffee shops, and other venues around Western New York.
